Kinsei is a Dutch track cycling company built on a proven performance platform with deep roots in elite track racing.
The story behind Kinsei started within KOGA’s track cycling programme, where the original platform was developed together with leading partners from Dutch cycling, engineering and Olympic sport.
Today, Kinsei takes that foundation forward as an independent brand with one clear focus: dedicated track performance.
Before Kinsei became an independent brand, the platform was part of a wider Dutch track cycling project.
KOGA worked together with partners including the KNWU, NOC*NSF, TU Delft, Actiflow and Pontis Engineering to develop a track bike for the highest demands of the sport.
The goal was never to create a general racing bike. The bike was developed around one specific environment: the velodrome. High speed, fixed lines, explosive efforts and the smallest possible margins shaped the way the platform was engineered.
In the original KOGA development project, Actiflow focused on the aerodynamic performance of the frame, while Pontis Engineering worked on stiffness, strength and structural behaviour. KOGA described this as a collaboration where Actiflow looked at the outside of the bike, while Pontis looked at the inside.
By working with 3D models, the team could test, adjust and refine the design during development. This made it possible to improve the platform with a clear focus on track-specific performance.
Kinsei continues from that point: a proven Dutch track platform, shaped by aerodynamics, structure and the demands of elite racing.

Kinsei now moves forward as an independent Dutch brand, led by Theo Bos.
Theo’s experience at the highest level of track cycling helps shape the direction behind the brand. His role is not about looking back at past results, but about understanding what serious riders and teams need today.
That experience gives Kinsei a clear point of view: a track bike should be focused, precise and built around the real demands of the velodrome.
